Disputes must be one of those things we all strive to avoid in life. They create stress and cause worry, they can make you feel angry and can also make you feel dejected, and if you are a Landlord, Freeholder, Leaseholder or Tenant they can cost you lots of money.

MEDIATION, FIRST AND FOREMOST

When we discuss disputes, we always recommend Mediation (Please read this section on this site) this is always the best option to resolve disputed issues before they spiral out of control and the mountain has been created from the proverbial mole hill.

However, sometimes mediation is not an option, or the parties involved can not reach an agreement or it has just gone too far to resolve things amicably, and you need help.

Disputes can occur not only with landlords and tenants or freeholders and leaseholders, but often with contractors and workmen engaged to undertake work on the property on behalf of the landlord or tenant which proves to be of a poor standard or defective. A dispute could be with a Management company or a managing agent or letting agent who have failed to provide the service they contracted to supply you, but no matter with who, disputes do happen and they happen far too often.
