Advice Centre Support

Landlord and Tenant disputes

Landlords and tenants support provide a special service to those people who work for advice centres, organisations and professional individuals  where the general public look for assistance in matters in relation to renting or leasehold issues and disputes with freeholders and landlords.

Sometimes the smallest problem with a landlord can escalate to create a tremendous amount of worry and stress for the tenant. We recall a case where a dripping tap quickly became a matter for eviction, and this was only due to a lack of communication and misunderstanding of what was being said by both parties. However sometimes tenants do have very serious issues and need the knowledge and support to help resolve these issues.

When a tenant makes contact with an advice centre or similar organisation they are primarily looking for help and understanding. In matters that relate to renting and leasehold properties this can be an overwhelming subject especially if a solicitor has been engaged by the landlord or freeholder and the tenant is confronted with legal terminology.

    MEDIATION

    First and Foremost

Conflicts and disputes between a Landlord and Tenant or a Freeholder and Leaseholder if unresolved will cause stress and the financial cost of action can escalate out of control.

Mediation, if initiated early, can resolve 8 out of 10 disputes cost effectively, and alternative dispute resolution is also encouraged by the Courts.
